YAY! I am super excited that So, Zo is bringing back the me-made challenges and that the next one will be happening during some warmer months here in Scotland. I participated in the Me-Made-May 2010 challenge but didn't have quite enough garments to make it through the entire month of May last year.
One year later and I think I definitely have enough to do June! As such, I, Debi from fashionsfromthepast.blogspot.com, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-June '11. I endeavour to only wear me-made or me-refashioned garments (excluding undergarments) each day for the duration of June 2011.
Which means I better get crackin' on some sweater refashions as I'll definitely need some top layers in addition to my cape, faux fur jacket and poncho....hehehee....will be an interesting month :)
Are you participating?
yay! there's so many good people signing up for june!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, I'm in too - and in agreement about the warmer months being a more attractive time to do it.
ReplyDeleteNot this year but maybe next year :) I don't think 3 skirts and 1 blouse will get me through June! lol

Hoorah, I'm doing it too for the first time, really looking forward to it. x
ReplyDeleteOH, how great that you are signing up for June! I love these challenges, and will be participating as well! Yay!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a great idea! I would love to participate, but I really don't have much that I've sewn for myself. Only for other people. I'm definately looking for a vintage pattern for the "Sewing Through the Decades" thingy. I finally got a chance to go through my pattern collection and I only came up with a couple of Simplicity patterns and one McCalls. I'm not that great with my fashion history so I have to do a little research to see what time period they fall into. I will post pics on my blog and if anyone knows the year, please share with me. Thanks a bunch and as always,
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
I'm in, too. They're so fun, after the last one ended I was all ready to take a daily photo and realized it was over. hehe. I'm looking forward to a little cold(er) weather photography, though I'm a little afraid my winter wardrobe isn't completely up to scratch... We'll see.
ReplyDeleteDebi- Is this a firefly brown coat? I had to google it, I wasn't sure. It looks like you could lengthen a suit jacket pattern and you'd be money. Pretty rad. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Steph--yup that's the one...though the one he actually wears in the show is much nicer...we're thinking faux suede!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great idea! I don't know that I have nearly enough me-made things to satisfy me for a whole month. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'm in, and I'm glad you're doing it too. It's going to be a fun and inspirational month!
