I'm on the Map!

Have you heard about the cool thing Vicki who blogs over at Another Sewing Scientist has created?  There is now a google map of sewing peeps!!

What a neat idea and a great way to find like-minded sewing enthusiasts nearby for meet-ups!!

Here's all you have to do...
Open this link to get to Map the Sewintists
Click on the red Edit button on the left
Click on the blue pin on the upper left of the map (though I would only do this after you've gotten to your area of the world on the map--I accidentially dropped my blue pin near Iceland...lol)
Click on your location to drop the pin
A box will open that will allow you to add your name or blog URL in rich text

YAY! What an easy and fun thing to do....I don't know about you but I've been coming home from work completely exhausted these last few days...do you ever feel as if all your mental energy is used up?  Maybe I need to get some retroactive sleep or something...lol....so my version of a mental exhaustion evening includes eating a simple dinner, drinking some wine, catching up on blog posts and watching episodes of the Amazing Race (watching all the past seasons I missed...)  lol...  Hope this passes soon and that I get back my sewing energy!!

I went through a similar phase recently. It will pass! Just rest up and day dream about your next project :)

  2. Thank you so much Debi!

I don't know what's been going on this winter, but I too have been completely sapped of strength and haven't sewn a thing since December :( I'm going to the GTA meetup in Toronto next weekend though, so I am expecting to get some new enthusiasm and get sewing again. XO V

  3. That is such a cool idea!! Apparently no sewists live in Vermont lol I will have to fix that ASAP. Sorry to hear you've been exhausted. Could be the season? Take care of yourself :)

  10. This is so cool! Only a couple of Dutch sewers out there, hope there will be getting more!

When I feel exhausted after a day of work. I always start with a long and hot shower, get into some comfy clothes and watching a movie / some episodes of my favourite tv shows and do some knitting or just browsing through my patterns to get inspiration. I recently started doing yoga as well.

Take your time! I was always impressed with how you're keeping up with all those things going on!

  11. Hopefully it is just the isn't-winter-over-yet?-blues and not some kind of bug. I hope it passes quickly.

Thank you for spreading the news about the map. Maybe I'll find someone in my neck of the woods.

Hi Debi, I feel your pain! Totally lost my mojo over the last few weeks. I think I've been sewing too much, if that's possible! I'm taking it easy and spending time working on ideas for next projects and themes for my blog, without actually picking up a pair of scissors. Hope it passes soon! Best of luck! :)
