Sew Grateful Week 2013: Save the Date

Sew Grateful Week is an annual challenge to give back to the sewing community and to show gratitude for everyone that supports us in our sewing hobby.  2013 will mark the 3rd annual Sew Grateful Week here at My Happy Sewing Place and will take place from the 4th to 10th of February. The week is divided into many activities.  You can participate in one or participate in them all.  On each day, just visit the My Happy Sewing Place blog to upload your blog post to the link party.  Here's the schedule:
  • Monday the 4th of February: Sew Grateful Giveaways.  Host a giveaway to show your appreciation to the sewing community.
  • Tuesday the 5th of February: Sew Grateful Reflection.  Write about why you are 'sew grateful'.
  • Wednesday the 6th of February: Sew Grateful Sewing Resources. Write a tutorial, provide a free online pattern, provide a sewing resource, host a sew-along.  This is a day to share your knowledge and skills with the sewing community.
  • Thursday the 7th of February: Sew Grateful Projects.  Post your 'sew grateful' project.  This can be something sewn with fabric you received as a gift, a pattern you won in a giveaway, a tutorial you used...the possibilities are endless.   The goal is to show gratitude by using the presents and kindness we have received throughout the year.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 8th through the 10th, I will post a series of highlights and wrap-up posts!

Take a look at the 2012 and 2011 Sew Grateful Week posts by visiting the new tab at the top of my blog for the Sew Grateful Week.

Here's some blog buttons for the 2013 Sew Grateful Week.  Simply copy the code from the box into your an html element on your sidebar.  Or just screen capture the image if that is easier...

  7. My blog was just getting started this time last year, but I had a great time looking at everyone's posts and I even won a contest. I would definitely like to participate - at the very least I'd love to give away one of my vintage patterns to say thank you to the amazing blogging community I found.

I'll be participating as best I can because that's the week I move! I'm really aiming to be more involved in the sewing community this year. I was so sad I missed so many great events and sew-alongs last year.

  20. I've added the button to my sidebar.  Now I just need to photograph the not-quite-vintage (the 80s aren't vintage yet, are they?) patterns I've been saving for this!
