I'm sooooooo excited! I heard the news that I won first prize for 'Best Use of Pattern in its Original Form' for my 1933 dress:
Yippeeeee...I want to thank all of you who voted for me! Also a big thank you to those who've congratulated me and the lovely Sarah, who cohosts the Sewing through the Decades Challenge with me for doing a blog post about it (you are so sweet!).
Giveaway:
That said, winning is so much sweeter when you can share it! I would like to host a giveaway for followers of this blog to choose any EvaDress pattern you would like as the prize. The giveaway will include the pattern and shipping to anywhere! Just leave a comment on this post, with the EvaDress pattern you'd like to win, before midnight EST on April 7th and you'll be included. I'll randomly draw the winner and will post it that week!
Thanks again everyone! What a wonderful surprise!!!
Congrats on the win! The dress you made is beautiful! And thank you for the chance to win a pattern! I just love the simple elegance of E30-6719 1930's Evening Gown. The big bow on the back tops it off, I love it!
ReplyDeleteimadiversgirl (at) gmail (dot) com
That's awesome, and your dress looks great! I've always wanted to try an EvaDress pattern but I haven't gotten around to it, I'd like to try T40-3322 after I saw someone else make pants from it and looked amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. My Favorite is the 1940's reproduction overalls, Sp40-4536. I really want to make a pair of these because I work for a company that makes commercial airplanes. And they made airplanes during WWII also. So, some of my historic co-workers probably wore coveralls exactly like these.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Well deserved in my opinion! I'd love to try the E30-1965. I have been eying this one for a while! Again, good job!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.evadress.com/1965.html
Congratulations! What a gorgeous frock. I also would love to try an EvaDress pattern. I actually have a few in my inspiration notebook, but it would be the decision of the century to pick one. E30-9906 1938 Frock, NL30-1402 1935 Nightgown, B30-1465 Ladies' Blouse? Beautiful stuff.
ReplyDeleteWow, congratulations! And thanks so much for the give-away, I love them! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd really like D40-1979 as I've wanted to try a pinafore style dress since I saw yours, and this one has really cute shaping under the bust :)
Thanks again!
Ashley x
I see why you won. It is a magnificent creation. Love all of it. And you look ever so lovely too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I love your dress, and it was a deserving win!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to choose from all of the amazing patterns they have. Right now, I'm stuck between the #1379 Ladies' Dinner Dress, circa 1934 and the #1930 Ladies' Trousers, Overalls and Bellhop Jacket, Circa 1936. I'd probably go with the dress, though. Those kick pleats!
Congratulations Debi, you earned that win with a magnificent outfit and overall look!!! Well done! I'd love to enter your amazing giveaway too please. I'm overwhelmed with the gorgeous Eva Dress patterns so I think I' like to choose a pattern IF I'm lucky enough to win ;o)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning! This is what i'd like from the EvaDress site..
ReplyDeletehttp://www.evadress.com/880.html
There are so many pretty things that it's hard to choose though!
Wow, I'm so happy for you! Must be great to win! It is obvious you have put a lot of love and effort into making your dress so you really deserved the win :)
ReplyDeleteIf I win the giveaway, I would love to get this dress: http://www.evadress.com/9797.html from circa 1927. I have never made anything from that era but I would really love to, and that frock looks so beautiful!
Congratulations! It is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI love EVERYTHING on the Eva site, but I think this one has to be my favorite:
SE50-9113 Three-Piece Suit, circa 1952
Thanks so much!
Congratulations! You did a lovely job. I've got an EvaDress wishlist, but I think E30-1655 (1930s evening gown) is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I loved so many of the entries, but your photos looked so atmospheric that they showed off your dress so well; they could have been taken in the '30s.
ReplyDeleteAs for the give away: Oh oh oh! I've been coveting E30-8212 1936 Evening Gown. My birthday is next week, so it would be a wonderful present ;)
Congrats! That dress is stunning so no wonder you won =)
ReplyDeleteEvaDress is full of pretty patterns and it was impossible to choose one pattern so I picked two. Both of them are very feminine and cute. If i would have to choose from these two it would be very tough, but I might turn to the 30's dress, but only because the colour is so pretty on the sample picture and I already have light pink chiffon ready waiting for 30's dress to sew.
D40-6000 1945 Dress
D30-6490 German Afternoon Frock & Coat, circa 1935
Congratulations! Your's was the best by far. I love Eva Dress patterns and though simple, my little heart is set on the 1940s Overalls, Playsuit & Jacket. I desperately need vintage overalls, and what better than to have perfectly fitting ones, constructed by moi!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, the dress is gorgeous, I can see why you won! I love the NL40-44 the 1940's nightgowns! I don't have any nightgown patterns and would love something other than t-shirts and boxers to sleep in!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Debi, your entry completely deserved to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the B30-7389 Ladies' Blouses, circa 1938 - I'd love to make it in a pretty polka dot heavy silk.
Thank you for another great giveaway, and congratulations again!
Your dress is gorgeous, congrats!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make the Sp40-9046 swimsuit this summer! I am sadly in need of a new one!
Congratulations! You definitely deserved to win.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit in love with the D50-4292 (Group B). The silhouette is gorgeous, and who doesn't love a bow!?
Congrats! Your dress and jacket are just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteEvaDress has so many patterns to choose from, either SE30-1684 or D40-1979
That dress most definitely should have won - congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love the D40-9485 Day Frock - such great style...thanks for the opportunity to win!
Congratulations! You deserved the win no doubt about it!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many gorgeous dresses to choose from but I fell for the 1930 Tea Frocks D30-1011 head over heels.
Congrats on the win! You deserved it, the dress and jacket are lovely.
ReplyDeleteSp30-3516 1935 One-Piece Sports Outfit, I don't know why but I find this pattern so cute, it also seems so practical.
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI love the SP-108 sarong dress--what can I say, I am a sucker for a good sarong!
Congratulations, you really deserve the win.
ReplyDeleteI'd love either SE40-6067 or D40-1979 should I win.
So awesome! But then, you already know how much I love that jacket :).
ReplyDeletePicking just one Evadress pattern, now that's hard... I'll go with the SE30-7531 1933 Ensemble, but there are some awfully close contenders (not the least of which is the Katherine Hepburn pattern, but since I have already knocked it off I probably don't need a second version (even a "correct" one).
Congratulations again---well deserved!
I am so glad you won. After seeing this, I had to go and buy the pattern. Now I just have to make it:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That jacket is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of Eva dress patterns before. I had fun looking at their website, and I'd start with this one: http://www.evadress.com/6573.html
Congratulations Debbie! You truly deserved to win this. Your dress is amazing and really fits the category of best use. Take time to be proud of yourself! By the way this is one of the nicest giveaways ever. I would love to try the B30-7389 Ladies' Blouses, circa 1938 - it would be great under some vintage suits that I'm hoping to make.
ReplyDeleteI loved your work on this pattern. It is so eye-catching. :) I want that jacket pattern, but can't think of where I'd wear it. I think I'd go with the 1936 evening dress E30-8212. (http://www.evadress.com/8212.html). It is hard to choose though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous giveaway! :)
Oops, I feel terrible, I just noticed that I spelled your name wrong. I meant to say Congratulations Debi!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! YAY! I voted for you!
ReplyDeleteSo many patterns on my wish list, but I do really want this one. The contest was great for seeing how things made up! Now I super duper want it :)
http://www.evadress.com/1399.html
Congratulations - well done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, your a worthy winner! you're going to have afield day selecting all your patterns! I can't wait to see what you create with them,
ReplyDeletePeronsally, I have been savouring over the very pattern you posted about previously - SE50-8433 Three-Piece Ensemble, circa 1951 - the jacket is to die for!
Congrats on your win! What a fabulous dress! I love the details on the shoulders!
ReplyDeleteIf I were able to pick a pattern I would have to pick T40-3322 Ladies' Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls, circa 1940. I'm 6' tall and pants rarely fit let alone overalls. I'd love to be able to make a fabulous pair that actually fit me.
Congratulations, Debi! You certainly deserve it, you did such an amazing job. What a gorgeous outfit!
ReplyDelete(no giveaway for me, I sadly know I will not have time to sew for a long time...but a lovely thought on your part!)
Congratulations. It's such a lovely outfit and a well deserved win.
ReplyDeleteI would pick U40-4994 Brassiere and Panties. I'm obsessed with making vintage lingerie.
Congratulations Debi! That's so exciting about your win :) You totally deserve it since you honor vintage patterns so often in your weekly sewing! I really love the whole look of your entry photo (and remember seeing it on the Sew Weekly!).
ReplyDeleteI loved Adey's version of this dress http://evadress.com/9906.html and would love to give it a try :) Thanks for hosting!
Congratulations! I've been wanting to see another version of the pattern you made since I spotted it in Threads a few years ago. I'd love to win and would like the collar, cape and muff pattern from the 30s. http://www.evadress.com/6474.html Thanks again and SO jealous you get to live in Scotland! From Heather K
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you won! You did such a fantastic job with the dress and jacket - stunning : )
ReplyDeleteI can't decide between the 1930's tea frock D30-1011 and the SP-948 30's frock - they're both so pretty!! I guess I'll go with the tea frock - it would be perfect for the Summer ; )
Congratulations, Debi! Your outfit and photos are lovely, and you absolutely deserved to win! I'd really like to have the 1950s sarong pattern, SP-108 Ladies' Sarong. I found some deep pink fabric recently with shells printed all over it that I think would be a really cute sarong dress. I don't have the time currently to try and draft one myself and I really love this pattern. It's perfect! You're so sweet to share your prize, too. It only makes me think you deserved to win even more!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! Congratulations!! I'm sure you're thrilled :) And, also, how sweet of you to share. My favorite is E30-371 the 1930s evening frock, slip, and short cape. I was just admiring its fluttery shape last night.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for the ooportunity to win an EvaDress pattern:) I like the B30-7482 Ladies' Blouse, circa 1936.
ReplyDeleteDebi I am so very happy for you! You totally deserved to win because your outfit still makes my jaw drop! And you are being so generous by offering one of us the chance to win a pattern of our own! If it were me, I would go gaga over B30-1572 Blouse, circa 1934 because it is Fabulous with a capital F. Thank you for sharing this with us, and congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Well deserved!
ReplyDeleteOf course I have to enter, and if I win, I would love to have this one:
http://www.evadress.com/1990.html
Cyan! You did a.great job!
ReplyDeleteHard to chose but maybe the 1938 dress? http://www.evadress.com/9906.html
Congratulations Debbie! So funny we both have giveaways at the same time! hehe. I really love D30-3872 Ladies' Morning Frock, circa 1932
ReplyDeleteI have the perfect Idea for it!
Stevie x
Oooh! Great giveaway! I voted for you and I'm so glad you won, you deserved it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to get my little hands on NL30-1416 Nightgown and Bed Cape, circa 1938. The back is to die for.
Aw, well done you! You deserve it :)
ReplyDeletePx
Congratulations! Your outfit is a stunning beauty.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern I'd love to win is E40-3162, because I sooo want to make a jacket like that! The neckline of the dress is also just wonderful. (I seem to have a soft spot for square necklines lately.)
Congratulations Debi - a very worthy winner, I'm delighted for you. If I'm lucky enough to win the giveaway I'd love to try B30-7482 1936 Ladies' Blouses. Thanks for the opportunity. x
ReplyDelete:) Congratiulation! You and your dress look so pretty, you deserve it!!
ReplyDeleteYour dress is one of my favourite from EvaDress!
Maybe if i win this giveaway i will choose this one!! But there are so much i would like! I will choose if i won!
Greetings from Jackie
Congrats Debi! That was a very well deserved win :-) I would love to enter your give away. I like D30-5156 Katharine Hepburn Frock, circa 1933 in size 34 bust. Sam xox
ReplyDeleteCongrats Debi! You totally deserved it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You definitely deserved first place, such a gorgeous jacket! And thank so much for sharing your prize - if it was me I would have saved it all for myself! I've got a list of patterns I want from Eva Dress, unfortunately I've made a pact not to buy any patterns this year. Winning a pattern doesn't count right? ;-) I would love to try T30 - 1930's Ladies' Trousers though - I've always wanted to own a pair of vintage trousers, and who can say no to a matching jacket right?
ReplyDeleteWell done again! x
Hooray for you!!! I had a feeling you would win this award, I have never seen such a pretty vintage garment as the one you have sewn here. I hope you wear it often! Okay, I like D30-9906 1938 Frock for the giveaway. Wow, this is a honor for you, so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteA BIG congratulations, Debi!!!! Wow--give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done! :) Have you spent the last day walking on air about winning? ;)
ReplyDeleteOooh! The giveaway sounds like such fun! Ever the practical girl, I have to say that this 30s playsuit is appealing to me: http://www.evadress.com/2997.html (We've had really warm, humid weather all week--time to break out the summer clothes!)
♥ Casey
So many congratulations, you really do deserve it! From the moment I saw your photos I knew it would be ridiculous if you didn't win :) I'd love the German afternoon frock and coat if I win (http://www.evadress.com/6490.html), thanks for the giveaway and again huge congratulations!
ReplyDeleteDebi well done- I'm so glad you won - well deserved!!! It is such an amazing and classy ensemble.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be entered & I must say what a difficult choice, but I am attracted most of all to this halter neck ensemble - those shorts particularly
http://www.evadress.com/6318.html
Thank you for your recent lovely comments by the way :-)
Congrats, Debi! You earned it! Your outfit is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI've been coveting the German Afternoon Tea Frock (D30-6490) since it was posted and I'd love to win!
Congrats! You look striking.
ReplyDeleteSince I'd love to make a cape, I'd choose SE30-1399- The ladies'3 piece ensemble circa 1934.
You deserve it!
ReplyDeleteThough I'm tempted to pick something more dramatic, I know I'd really wear this: D30-9906 1938 Frocks. I love the short sleeves.
Yay, well done! I can't say I'm very surprised though, it was quite a creation!
ReplyDeleteI am very taken by the SE30-2165 Ladies' Three-Piece Ensemble, circa 1936, I've been inspired by your suit sewing!
Your Kate dress is awesome, congrats on the win!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally wishing for evadress SE30-1210, the 1930s tux ensemble. I'd have to do some grading, but it would be worth it!
Yay! Congrats on your 500 followers. I'm am now a follower.
ReplyDeleteLove your dress! Congratulations on your win.
The 1953 Evening Gown is gorgeous!
congratulations on winning!! love the finished dress :)
ReplyDeletei love love love 1966 - 1930s evening dress. although i would make mine in some pretty lightweight cotton or maybe even eyelet. perfect for summer!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win, your dress is amazing! I would love either the 1934 blouse or the 1936 evening gown. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWow-look at all the hopefuls for an EvaDress pattern! I'll add my comment for consideration.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy your project won the contest--it was far and away the best.
I've been drooling over a Claire McCardell repro sheath pattern from EvaDress for months now: D50-4292. It's just divine! I think I'd fall into the Group B sizing.
Anyway, congratulations on your win!
Congratulations! I'm amazed by your skills. I would love to try T40-9016 (1945 Trousers & Clam Diggers); I've just finished my first pair of semi-successful shorts, and would love to try those trousers. With pair of suspenders, super awesome...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. What a fabulous news. I'm so glad you won. Your sewing has come on so brilliantly over the last year. You're such an inspiration to me. Hadn't been over to EvaDress before. There are some gorgeous patterns. I especially like the 1938 frocks (multisize). I love the gathering over the bust, and flowing skirt.
ReplyDeleteOh yay, a huge congrats to you!! I'm so happy to hear you won.
ReplyDeleteI love the EvaDress patterns, if I won I'd love the Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls pattern, for once I feel my sewing skills are up to the task. :)
Good for you, you totally deserved the win!! It's ladies like you who are inspiring me to start sewing more for myself and it's got to be better for the environment and you know when you make something that slave labor is not being used! I think Sk40-5817 would be a good starter pattern for me and I love the 1940s.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the win. there are so many lovely patterns o the site its hard to decide but I thonk NL30-1416 Nightgown and Bed Cape(sz14) is the one I would love.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win! I am currently obsessed with bow blouses. It would be a dream to own this pattern- B30-7273 Ladies' Blouse, circa 1933.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, those sleeves are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI'd go for http://www.evadress.com/6000.html
if i was the winner, thankyou.
Congratulations Debi, your outfit is gorgeous! It really brings the design to life.
ReplyDeleteI have to say you make me want that pattern something awful, even if it wouldn't fit me! That's the one I'd pick anyway.
Oh wow, that dress looks amazing! Congrats for winning!
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard pick, cause there were so many interesting patterns I would love to try, but after a hard thought I'll go for this one D30-3012 Dresses circa 1938.
Congratulations Debi and I am not surprised you won, your outfit is divine and so deserved to win the competition.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to choose from all the gorgeous patterns from Evadress. I chose one of the overalls http://www.evadress.com/3322.html because I have nothing like it in my collection. What a great opportunity. Thank you very much.
Congratulations! Your winning outfit has to be one of the most incredible outfits I've ever seen. It is so beautiful and beautifully made. I think if I had to pick an Eva Dress pattern, it would have to be a dress from the 40s because then I (technically) wouldn't have to do any grading to get it to fit! I love this one: http://www.evadress.com/9906.html - It would challenge me to get back on speaking terms with gathering!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Debi! I've been in love with this outfit ever since you posted about it, you totally deserved to win with it! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely offer of a chance to be in to win as well! I must admit that I'd really like to try making up the pattern you used for your winning creation. It called to me as soon as you first posted about it, so I'd love to have the chance to win that! D30-5156 Katharine Hepburn Frock, circa 1933
Congratulations! You are such an amazing seamstress, it's hardly surprising you won!
ReplyDeleteYour lovely 30s Evadress pieces has me longing for sewing 30s clothes. Although it's my favorite era, patterns from the 30s are impossible to find in Sweden, and customs makes purchases from outside EU very expensive.
So I'll join the giveaway hoping for a chance at this gorgeous pattern: http://www.evadress.com/5809.html
Keeping my fingers crossed! =)
Huzzah for winning! Your dress is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI had a HARD time choosing between E30-1965 and SE30-1684...They're both so very charming! In the end I think E30-1965 is my favorite.
Wow-- you are a magnificant seamstress. This outfit is amazing and the pictures are fabulous! Thank you for doing this give away. If selected, I would like Eva Dress pattern 5156, the Helpburn Frock that you made. What an inspiration you are !
ReplyDeleteWOw wonderful ... Congratulations! If chosen I would love to try the tea frock D30- 1011. Your work is wonderful and you look gorgeous in them! I am brand new to the world of vintage sewing and in looking for inspiration and certainly found it in your sewing! Thank you for being willing to share what you are doing!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a cute style! I'd go with E50-9662 - the 50's evening dress. It has such a fun neckline...
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of the bunch is E40-4517 Evening or Day Frock. To me this dress has the details of a true 1940s dress and that is my favorite era for clothing.
I have never heard of this website so I am very glad I came to your blog via Sewaholic.net.
Congratulations on the contest winning!
Rebekah
Your outfit is fantastic, you look like you stepped out of a movie set.
ReplyDeletemy choice is SE50-8433 Three-Piece Ensemble, circa 1951, which very much resembles the going-away suit my mother wore at her wedding. I would love to recreate it.
So many stunning dresses to choose from.
ReplyDeleteI love E30-6573 Ladies' Evening Gown in size 16.
It's my birthday next week, so let's hope I win.
Your outfits are such an inspiration. And I love the backgrounds you choose in your photos. Congratulations on the Eva Dress Win. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteIf I win, it will be tough. I'm torn between the 1927 Frock with Jabot, 1930 Tea Frock, 1936 Ensemble and 1938 Frocks.
Good luck to all of us.
Oh congratulations! Well done, you really deserved to win.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. What to choose?! Hmm... maybe the 1933 jacket...
Congratulations! What a wonderful outfit.
ReplyDeleteMay I please be included in the drawing?
I would love that same pattern~the 1933 Starred pattern: The Kate Hepburn Frock.
Thanks
I love the dress you made, very vintage looking, it's not the type of thing you could buy somewhere. Thanks for hosting the giveaway, I like the 1935 Blouses, Sz 18 because I love dresses but i have almost no seperates.
ReplyDeleteHello! Your dress is lovely! And thanks for hosting this giveaway! I'd love to be included and think the 8352 skirt pattern would be wonderful to have! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteIt was so beautifully done, your prize was well deserved! For the give-away, how about SE30-1210 4-Piece Tuxedo Ensemble, circa 1933.
ReplyDeleteFits size 18
Congratulations Debi --- Katherine would surely swoon over your stunning ensemble! I'd love to be included in the drawing and am very partial to this pattern: C40-1284 Fitted Jacket, circa 1940. Had so much fun browsing the EvaDress Pattern site :D.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Debi!! You did a beautiful job sewing and photographing your entry.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be included in your giveaway - and I'd pick the Claire McCardell Dress here:
http://www.evadress.com/4292.html
Love the wrap, the bow, and the plunging neckline! Thanks for the chance to win!
Wow, your dress is amazing and I do love the settings of all your pictures. The Eva Dress Pattern selection is dreamy. I love the slips, lingerie, bathing suits but I think E40-4517 Evening or Day Frock, circa 1943 would work great for me. I love the neckline and sleeves.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'd love the French Twill Corset, circa 1886.
Corsets are the love of my life (especially overbusts) ... I'll enjoy making it larger to fit me! I love that you're doing this
Congratulations . Your outfit looked fantastic and the photograph was rather impressive too. The contest brought the work of talented seamstresses to the attention of an appreciative audience. I have an untried EvaDress pattern - and feel a bit inspired, after seeing the stylish results, to actually sew it up. I would also like to try the EvaDress E30-1283 Ladies' Evening Frock, circa 1937
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic dress! I just found your blog through Tasia at Sewaholic, and am having a great time looking through it.
ReplyDeleteThe Eva Dress pattern I've had my eye on is D30-3872 Ladies' Morning Frock, circa 1932. It makes me want to spend a day by the sea (or in my case, the lake).
A well deserved win! I'd really like to make the D40-9485 Day Frock.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern you made but this one (SE30-2165) caught my eye too! Love the view on the left with the contrasting jacket!
ReplyDeleteeasier said than done! there are so many great patterns, but i think i would have to choose this one:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.evadress.com/6222.html
I love D30-3288, Frocks, circa 1939. And congrats on your dress and win!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! And this is a difficult decision. I would love to have all of these patterns!
ReplyDeleteB30-7273 or D40-2924 would probably be my choices.
Congrats on the win! That is SO neat! :D
ReplyDeleteI really like D30-2636 - Frocks circa 1938. . . I also really like E40-5810 Set of Evening Accessories, circa 1943, but I suppose I would have to go for something a little less elegant and choose T40-3322 Ladies' Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls, circa 1940 - because I have wanted a set of vintage overalls for a long time. They fit so much better than modern ones and would be great for the farm work I do. :D I could also take and add a skirt to this pattern instead of trousers -- it would be cute!
Thanks for hosting this!
Congratulations! You deserved to whin, because your work is a masterpiece! I love the jacket so much! If I win, I'd go for the same: 5156 Katharine Hepburn Frock
ReplyDeleteWow, that's no surprise you won, it is gorgeous and fits you perfectly !
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I would choose the "1945 Bustle Skirts". I love that it looks very wearable (for me at least) on a daily basis.
Keep up the good work. You are so inspiring :-)
Congratulations! I'd like D30-6929 Ladies' Dress, circa 1932, it's gorgeous and wearable.
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting for you! In honor of your style, I really like the D30-3012 1938 Ladies' dress. It would be so cute!
ReplyDeleteWow this is sooo generous! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your winning creation, and Eva Dress patterns. In fact, it is hrd to chose. I seem to be in a pants mood, so I like SE30-1210, the tuxedo ensemble.
I hope I win. :)
Congratulations on you win, and what i lovely dress! I am spoilt for choice with all the amazing patterns, but i think that, if i were to win, i would love the D40-359 40s dress (http://www.evadress.com/359.html). Thank you for an awesome giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress, looks great on you! What a generous give away- I would love to win the 1935 Ladies blouse B30-1465.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melissa
Well, I guess I can't win the giveaway at this point, but I still wanted to say how lovely your dress is and how totally and completley I wish I had your sewing chops!
ReplyDelete
