I was so disappointed that I wasn't able to make it to the blogger meet-up of the century in London this last week (crazy work week!!) But I am super happy to report that I'll be heading to Birmingham this Saturday to attend the grand opening of Guthrie and Ghani Haberdashery shop--which is Lauren's (from the Great British Sewing Bee) new venture!
This is my favourite photo of Lauren:

And here's a photo of her new fabric/haberdashery store:

Apparently there will be a few Great British Sewing Bee Sewists there, so I can stalk get them to sign my book! Will you be there? More details on Lauren's blog.
So, what crazy challenges do you think they will have (or should have) in season two?
Ooh and what's that on Lauren's dressform? It's her second Mathilde blouse :) Can't wait to see you on Saturday xx
ReplyDeleteI loved the show, and was so glad we here in the US could view it on YouTube. It was a great incentive to spend more time at the sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteOh Debi I feel the same way about the show being over. But you are a very lucky girl getting to go to Lauren's Grand opening party! Have a ball and if there's a guest/visitor book, please pass on the best wishes from all us Scottish Sewing bloggers!
ReplyDeleteAnd us Scottish sewing bloggers across the pond!
Delete(Also love that photo of Lauren.)

Please, please make application to take part in season two--you would be perfect on that show. It was wonderful that we could see it in the U.S. and I do sincerely wish that our country could produce such an interesting, informative and heart warming series.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else just sit there smiling at their computer screen?
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! :):)
DeleteAbsolutely, even while on vacation had to get the latest from across the pond. Am so grateful for the Internet & people everywhere who care about sewing!

PD.Had hankie in hand, too, as some things were so dear!
I would love to be there, but alas I can't jump the pond in time! Do have a good time and stalk them for me!
ReplyDeleteYes, need more episodes, i'm suffering withdrawal symptoms!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great day out and I'm sorry I won't make it, though I will one day pay a visit as I love Lauren's style and just know she will stock the most lovely things! Hope you have a great day and take the requisite pics.
This is what I love about blogs...here I am over in the USA and communicating with you lovely ladies in London. I loved the show and was so glad that someone was kind enough to put it on Youtube so that we over in the states could watch! I am also so happy to see Lauren's venture come to fruition!!!!!! I'll be with you all in spirit---have a great time!!! Looking for the next show --- hopefully it will be soon.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was in England to watch the show! That shop looks wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI just caught up on the show on you tube I really like Lauren and am super jealous that you get to go!!! How fun but the trip would be a bit pricey for me. Hope you have a great time.
