Me-Made-May Day 1:
We would normally be seeing the Cherry Blossoms at this time of the year but the daffodils have just appeared in the last couple of weeks! Which is crazy late but we had a cold spell in March and part of April--so the flowers are all confused! Prince's Street Gardens in central Edinburgh is absolutely beautiful at this time of year with daffodils and other early spring flowers making an appearance!
For the first day of Me-Made-May, I wore my 'Jumpin' the Sharks' skirt (McCall 3968 from 1940) and my 'DuBarry blouse' (DuBarry 5327 from 1942).
Me-Made-May Day 2:
We had a goodbye party for the colleague of mine who gave me this 1970s dress to refashion, so I thought it would be a perfect occasion to wear it!
Me-Made-May Day 3:
Yesterday was a whirlwind! I travelled down to London for work. After work, I made my way over to the famous Liberty of London store (my first time) and met up with Rachel, Alana and Tilly for a little shopping and cocktails! Then Alana and I made our way over to an outdoor garden (the weather was amazing on Friday) to meet up with So-Ha, Jane, Roisin, Clare and Sally! We talked fabric and sewing and had a fabulous time! I left with a huge grin on my face and made my way back to Scotland. Thank you ladies!!
Me-Made-May Day 4:
It's about 20 degrees (Fahrenheit) cooler in Scotland than it was in London! Perfect weather for the 'Famous Princess Hooded Dress' (McCall 3678 from 1940).
What a fun start to Me-Made-May!
