Cover Girl is one of my all-time favourite movies and the title song is absolutely the best....I've been looking at the fashions lately and thought I would share some of the photos from the title dance number that I have in my inspiration file:
Ms. Cosmopolitan
Ms. McCall
Ms. Vogue
Ms. Harper's Bazaar
Ms. Woman's Home Companion
Ms. American Home
Ms. Mademoiselle
Ms. Glamour
Ms. Coronet
Ms. Liberty
Ms. Redbook
Ms. American
Ms. Farm Journal
Little Ms. Look
Ms. Collier's
And the ultimate cover girl, Ms. Rita
Which are your favourites? I do love Ms. Coronet's photos and I think Ms. American Home has the most adorable dress!
I love Ms. Glamour's suit, but as for everyday, Ms. Farm Journal is working those jeans. :D
ReplyDeleteOh wow - I haven't seen this movie but based on these screenshots it's now at the top of my list. It looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteoh, i forgot all about this flick! i'm surprised ms american is all dolled up in black lace...
ReplyDeleteso, which one would you be?
Never seen this one, but the number reminds me of "The Girl on the Magazine Cover" from Easter Parade, and "Beautiful Girls" from Singing in the Rain. Those were faves of mine growing up.
ReplyDeleteHow have I never heard of this?? I love Ms. American Home and Ms.Vogue, though perhaps not the accessories. Or rather, I'm not so sure I could pull them off! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's Ms. Liberty and Ms. Farm Journal for me :) But I do love them all!
ReplyDeleteMs cosmo for me - just wish you could see more of the dress. Like ms coronet as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting that clip, Debi. I've never seen that movie but I really must now! I love Ms Coronet's dress and It makes me want to make that Galaxy dress again in black this time. But Ms Rita must win hands down. That dress flows like liquid gold but manages to cling in all the right places as the same time. Priceless! :-)
ReplyDeleteAdore Cover Girl, favourite out of those has to be Ms Vogue, so fierce! x
ReplyDeleteoooh i can't choose, i need to watch the film first!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! How have I never heard of this movie?? I must go watch it NOW. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't think I've ever seen this! I'm going to have to check it out :)
ReplyDeleteI don't recall having seen this film, but from the screen shots my favorites would be Ms Cosmo or Ms American.
ReplyDeleteI've had Ms. Mademoiselle in my inspiration file for ages! I love the wide stripes on the jacket and blouse.
